I have two third gen Apple TVs and a Macbook Pro running 10.8. I use the remote app on my iPhone and iPad all the time, but it seems silly that I have to reach for them when my Macbook is right on my lap. I'm not looking for a remote iTunes solution or home sharing, I want to actually be able to navigate the Apple TV menus from my Mac and do Jan 26, 2014 · You can hook it up wirelessly through an apple TV hooked up to a common wifi network, or use a mini-display port adapter to hook it up through a wire. I just purchased the Apple TV, and when I use the remote it also controls my MacBook Pro under 10.5.4. I switched off the ability to use remotes on the laptop for now, but is there a way to make sure the remote only works for the Apple TV, not the MacBook? Thanks
